Looking for a meaningful addition to your holiday tradition?
For 31 years, community groups from around the Twin Cities have hosted Giving Trees, collecting much-needed items for their neighbors in need. Whether you own a local business, attend a book club, or are a member of a faith community — we are experiencing greater need across all of our programs, and we would love to partner in whatever way is right for you. Thank you!
Hosting a Giving Tree: Easy as 1, 2, 3!
Step 1. Set up a Giving Tree in a way that works for your group.
Feel free to get creative! We have seen many different ideas, including:
- a tree decorated with “ornaments” made from the wishlist;
- a “tree” made of green craft paper on a bulletin board;
- or include the Giving Tree as part of this year’s holiday party invitation!
Step 2. Collect items from the 2023 Giving Tree Wish List.
Collecting items can be done in many different ways, including:
- ask group members to return gifts to your Giving Tree;
- accept items at an office or business location;
- or choose an item from the wishlist to collect at a holiday party— last year, one group donated over 20 pairs of warm gloves!
Step 3. Drop off new, unwrapped gifts at a participating location:
