Education + Advocacy

Action and Learning

Catholic Social Teaching

The work of Catholic Charities, including that of the Office for Social Justice, is deeply rooted in Catholic Social Teaching. The Office for Social Justice offers a variety of workshops and materials about this body of work, and many of these are available here on our website. If you’re interested in a more in-depth educational opportunity for your parish or another group, please contact us.

Social Justice Education

Catholic Charities will advocate on multiple issues in order to advance our mission to be a leader at solving poverty, creating opportunity, and advocating for justice in our community.  Utilize tools for effective advocacy, learn to form sustainable social justice groups  and access resources to use at your parish or organization.

Grants and Programs Information

The purpose of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development was founded with two purposes. The first was to raise funds to help groups develop economic strength and political power and the second was to “educate the People of God to a new knowledge of today’s problems.” See Grants and Programs for more information.
