For 30 years, supporters around the Twin Cities have hosted Giving Trees around the Christmas season. This spring, we invite you to join us for Giving Basket — a new way to collect much-needed items for your neighbors in need!
Whether you own a local business, attend a book club, or are a member of a faith community — we are experiencing greater need across all of our programs, and we would love to partner with you on a Giving Basket in whatever way works for your community. Thank you!
HOSTING A GIVING BASKET: EASY AS 1, 2, 3!
Step 1 Set up a Giving Basket in a way that works for your group! So far we’ve seen:
a basket filled with plastic eggs containing donation request slips;
a basket filled with rolled-up donation request slips tied with ribbons;
incorporating donation request slips into an Easter egg hunt — a great way to introduce giving back!
Step 2 Collect high-need items from the 2023 Giving Basket Wishlist. Collecting items can be done in many different ways, including:
ask group members to return gifts to the Giving Basket location;
accept items at an office or business location;
or choose a single item from the wishlist to collect at a seasonal party!
Step 3 Drop off new, unwrapped gifts at our Distribution Center!
