The best protection from COVID-19 is to stay home – but what if you don’t have a home? Catholic Charities is keeping our emergency shelters, opportunity centers and housing programs open to provide those most in need safe shelter and support during this time of crisis. Be the helper.
You can be the helper.
People experiencing homelessness are especially vulnerable to COVID-19 and the risk of individual and community spread is exponentially higher at crowded emergency shelters and daytime service centers.
These services MUST remain open as other public buildings and businesses close down – there is literally nowhere for the homeless to go.
Help the Helpers

We can’t do this without community support. The men and women showing up daily to serve the homeless during COVID-19 are heroes, and like hospital and health care workers, put themselves and their families at risk to do this critical work. They cannot stay home; they are needed to provide food, shelter and safety to our most vulnerable neighbors. They are needed to save lives. And they desperately need our help.
