What We Do

Poverty for no one. Opportunity for everyone.

Catholic Charities serves those most in need. We are a leader in solving poverty, creating opportunity and advocating for justice in the community.

After nearly 150 years of service to the community, Catholic Charities is now the largest comprehensive social service and civic impact organization serving the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul region. We continue to adapt and respond to the needs of the community and focus our attention where it is most needed. With the support of our donors, advocates and volunteers, we seek to prevent poverty before it takes hold, meet basic needs in times of crisis, and create pathways out of poverty.

You are changing lives every day.

Because of you, in the cold of January 2017, we opened the doors to Higher Ground Saint Paul, providing dignified shelter, permanent homes and pathways out of poverty.

Because of you, we reached our $40 million private Capital Campaign goal and secured State funding to complete Dorothy Day Place. This historic $100 million public-private partnership would not have been possible with your advocacy and support.

Because of you, Brenda and her grandson have found shelter at our Family Service Center, providing them a pathway out of poverty.

Because of you, Darcel’s young boys are getting the early childcare education needed at Northside Child Development Center to be kindergarten ready.

Because of you, Cristine was able to move into a home of her own where she can spend time with her grandchildren.

Because of you, Elias is back in school and getting the services he needs at Hope Street to live independently.

As donors, partners, advocates and volunteers, you are restoring dignity and hope to individuals, children and families every day. Thank You!

It starts with you.
