Family Service Center
The Family Service Center provides temporary housing for Ramsey County families experiencing homelessness. As many as 55 adults and children may stay at the Family Service Center for a maximum of 30 days. Families receive housing and employment search resources and other services to help them transition from homelessness to stable housing.
Services:
- Up to 30 consecutive nights of shelter for families
- Housing and employment search assistance
- Activities for children, tutoring and resources
- Parenting education and life skills training
- Three meals per day
- Transportation assistance
- Onsite medical and dental health services
- Laundry facilities
- Computer lab
- Limited rent subsidies available for eligible families moving into scattered site housing

2009 Program Outcomes: - The Family Service Center served 663 individuals, representing 205 families
- 59 families moved from the shelter into more permanent housing in the community
