The J. Jerome Boxleitner Community of Compassion is named for Msgr. Boxleitner, former executive director of Catholic Charities, and it recognizes his lifelong commitment to the poor. The ever-growing circle of Community of Compassion members express their commitment to these same values and willingness to offer hope and healing to the poorest of the poor.
Members of the Community of Compassion provide annual leadership gifts to the agency of $1,000 or more, which are an investment in the services offered and people served by Catholic Charities. Nearly 40% of the gifts received by Catholic Charities come from Community of Compassion members.
